Welcome to the official site of the MercyFire Catholic Prison Ministry…presented by the Eudist Servants of the 11th Hour and the laity committed to serving the spiritual needs of incarcerated men and women.
MercyFire Catholic Prison Ministry is deeply rooted in the Scripture verse:
“Beloved, grow strong in your holy faith through prayer in the Holy Spirit.
Persevere in God’s love and welcome the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ which leads to eternal life.
Correct those who are confused: The others you must rescue, snatching them from the fire.” Jude 20-23
Who We Are
MercyFire Catholic Prison Ministry is a completely volunteer ministry comprised of Catholic Priests, Deacons, Sisters and lay persons. Individually, we have each answered a calling from God to assist our imprisoned brothers and sisters understand and accept the love of the Holy Spirit. MercyFire Catholic Prison Ministry is a non-profit organization that depends exclusively on funds from individual donors who have been inspired by the Holy Spirit to provide support for spreading God’s love and God’s Word to those most in need.
MercyFire was founded and officially launched in 2009. The founder, Sister Judith Krantz, Eudist Servant of the11th Hour, has been actively involved in prison ministry for over 20 years. With the Holy Spirit as her inspiration, Sister Judith founded and quickly established MercyFire Catholic Prison Ministry as the premier Catholic prison ministry in the country today. Prison Chaplains from Pennsylvania, Louisiana and California have demonstrated tremendous support for Sister Judith’s efforts by requesting weekend retreats for prisoners under their spiritual care and guidance.
Sister Judith is under the guidance of Mother Antonia, founder of the Eudist Servants of the 11th Hour. Eudist Servants of the 11th Hour is an association of the faithful whose members are sisters who are mature women who love Jesus and want to follow Him by serving the poor and the needy.
Mission Statement of the Eudist Servants of the 11th Hour
Our mission is to bring prisoners a retreat that will awaken the reality of Christ’s love, mercy and hope for their future. We encourage prisoners to open wide the doors of their hearts in order to welcome Christ. And, empowered by the Holy Spirit, all may become a living flame to act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with God.
